One of the biggest questions marks surrounding the 2023 Ohio State football team is at offensive tackle after Paris Johnson Jr. and Dawand Jones left early for the NFL.
There are plenty of in-house options in Zen Michalski, Tegra Tshabola, and Josh Fryar. What’s missing from this group is experience and that is something that is extremely important in the position.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsTexas A&M freshman Matthew Wykoff recently entered the transfer portal and the question is will the Buckeyes pursue him?
Wykoff is coming off a freshman All-SEC campaign but at center where the need isn’t as large. The Texas native does have tackle size at 6-foot, 6-inches, and 330 pounds and was viewed as one during his recruitment.
I will be entering my name into the transfer portal. I am thankful for my time a A&M and the coaching I have received. I will have 3 years of eligibility left.

Wykoff is an interesting option at the moment as the second window for transfers to sign opens this weekend, the 15, and will be open until the end of the month. Other true tackles most likely will enter the portal as well so it’s a wait-and-see if Ryan Day and offensive line coach Justin Frye will offer a scholarship.
