Is Nigeria vs Morocco on TV? Channel, kick-off time and how to watch Afcon semi-final

Morocco will hope to make good of their first Africa Cup of Nations semi-final since 2004 as the host nation battle free-scoring Nigeria for a place in Sunday’s tournament finale.

The Atlas Lions are the competition favourites and proved they warranted such a title by breezing past five-time winners Cameroon in the last eight, with Afcon top scorer Brahim Diaz making it five goals in as many games for him.

Nigeria denied the Moroccans a fiery showdown with north African neighbours Algeria as goals from strike partnership Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams delivered the Super Eagles a 2-0 win.

The winner of the tie will set up a final clash with either Egypt or Senegal in Rabat on the weekend, who are facing off in the first semi-final of Wednesday afternoon.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is Nigeria vs Morocco?

Nigeria’s clash with Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals kicks off at 8pm GMT at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat, Morocco.

How can I watch it?

Viewers in the UK can watch the game for free on E4, with coverage starting at 7:30pm. Fans can also stream the game online using Channel 4’s online streaming service.

Confirmed line-ups

Nigeria XI: Nwabali; Osayi-Samuel, Ajayi, Bassey, Onyemaechi; Onyedika, Onyeka, Iwobi; Lookman; Adams, Osimhen.

Morocco XI: Bounou; Hakimi, Aguerd, Masina, Mazraoui; El Aynaoui; El Khannouss, Saibari; Diaz, El Kaabi Ezzalzouli.

Team news

Morocco boss Walid Regragui has named the same starting XI as the one that beat Cameroon in the quarter-finals. Key defenders Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui retain their places, with Neil El Aynaoui anchoring midfield.

Bilal El Khannouss and Ismael Saibari provide attacking support to a forward line led by Ayoub El Kaabi and Real Madrid attacker Brahim Diaz, who remains in contention for the tournament’s golden boot.

Nigeria manager Éric Chelle has made just one change to the XI that convincingly beat Algeria last time out, with Wilfred Ndidi making way for Raphael Onyedika in midfield.

He is supported by Premier League duo Alex Iwobi and Frank Onyeka, with Ademola Lookman in a more advanced role and the striking duo of Akor Adams and Victor Osimhen once again trusted to lead the line.
