Name That Tune season 4 typically holds down the Tuesday, 8 pm ET/PT time slot on Fox, but is that the case on Tuesday, October 31? Unfortunately for fans of the music game show, it's no Halloween treat as Name That Tune is not airing a new episode. Here's why.
Tuesday, October 31, is when game 4 of the World Series between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks is being played. Fox broadcasts all of the World Series games and with a scheduled 8:03 pm ET/5:03 pm PT start time, Name That Tune is getting bumped for baseball this week.
The game should take most viewers up until their local Fox news broadcast, but if it finishes before then, particularly for those on the west coast, expect reruns of Fox shows to air. So maybe an older episode of Name That Tune will be shown for select viewers, just not a new episode.
The good news is that next week on Tuesday, November 7, Name That Tune is scheduled to be back with a brand new episode. According to Fox's press site, the episode will feature Tig Notaro, Nicole Sullivan, Jeff Ross and Michael Kosta competing on the show.
Name That Tune is not the only Fox show that is going to be impacted by the World Series this week. With the series at 2-1 in favor of the Rangers, a game 5 is already necessary, which will be played on Wednesday, November 1, at 8:03 pm ET/5:03 pm PT. That means Fox's normal Wednesday shows The Masked Singer season 10 and Snake Oil will not be airing new episodes this week.
If the Diamondbacks win either of the games on Tuesday or Wednesday, that will automatically force a game 6 on Friday, November 3, on Fox. If the series is tied 3-3 after game 6, then a deciding game 7 is set for Saturday, November 4. Fox does not have any original programming on Friday or Saturday, so the World Series is replacing other sports-centric content — WWE's Friday Night Smackdown and possible college football games on Saturday.
If game 6 and game 7 are not necessary, expect Fox reruns or syndicated shows to fill in those times.
