Is Marvel's Wolverine coming to PC?

Is Marvel's Wolverine coming to PC?

The short answer is no; at this time, Marvel's Wolverine has not been confirmed for launch on PC.

Sony has previously released a number of its first-party titles on PC, including Spider-Man, but a recent pivot suggests we're unlikely to get Wolverine at all.

After a trio of Spider-Man games, Insomniac Games is switching focus to the X-Men, more specifically, Wolverine.

The trailer above gives us our latest look at gameplay for Marvel's Wolverine, and it's shaping up to be quite the gritty, violent experience. As if we expected anything less from Logan.

Marvel's Wolverine has been confirmed for a September 15, 2026 release, but only on "PS5 consoles." Given a recent Sony pivot, it's also not looking like we'll be seeing it on PC.

Marvel's Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Spider-Man 2, all made by Insomniac, are on PC now. They came after PS5, but they all came. In the case of the most recent release, Spider-Man 2, it launched a year and three months after the game debuted on PS5.

Many of Sony's other big first-party releases have also made it across to PC. The likes of the Horizon franchise, God of War, The Last of Us, Days Gone all came to PC.

However, recent developments leave a bleak future for PC gamers hoping to play Wolverine. Reports suggest PlayStation's CEO told employees at an internal meeting that the company will no longer put its first-party, single-player titles on PC, reverting back to purely PlayStation console exclusivity.

The exceptions will continue to be multiplayer games such as Marathon and Helldivers 2, the latter especially proving to be a huge hit by launching simultaneously on PC.

But while Xbox continues (for now) to have a cross-platform console presence on top of PC, PlayStation is retreating to its older way of doing things.

Sad news, for sure, but I'm not convinced that even as good as Wolverine looks, it'll convince PC players they need to go and buy a PS5. Especially in a world where the price has increased significantly.
