Manchester City welcome Everton in their final game of the year as both teams look to conclude their Premier League year with a victory.
Pep Guardiola’s men are always imperious on their home turf and they have a strong record against their opponents at the Etihad. Their 3-2 Carabao Cup victory over Liverpool solidified that claim.
Their two key men, Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland, will be chomping at the bit to claw back ground on Arsenal. The former went out of the World Cup in the group stages with Belgium and the latter did not go to Qatar altogether after Norway failed to qualify.

The only shock for City is that they are not topping the table despite Haaland’s best efforts. Guardiola’s former assistant, Mikel Arteta, has taken the winning blueprint to Arsenal and they are proving tough to dislodge from pole position.
Everton could be without their talismanic striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is “touch-and-go” for the festive games according to Frank Lampard.
The Toffees conceded seven goals in back-to-back games against Bournemouth and Lampard will be hoping that his rigid back-three shape can find its solidity again. Everton’s successes last season were built on a stiff defensive rearguard.
