Elland Road is the latest challenge for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp tries to salvage a spot in European competition next season.
The Reds are 12 points off Newcastle United in the final Champions League qualification spot but can close the gap with their game in hand.
They are six points off Aston Villa in sixth place, with two fewer games played. Brighton also have two games in hand over Aston Villa and a five-point advantage over Liverpool before tonight’s game.
Leeds are perched just two points above the relegation zone but could extend the gap to five with a win against the Reds tonight.
Javia Gracia’s side slumped to a 1-5 loss at home to Crystal Palace in their last Premier League outing, despite Patrick Bamford grabbing the first goal of the game.
Liverpool are without a win in five, a run which has included a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City, 0-0 draw with Chelsea and 2-2 draw with league leaders Arsenal.
Indeed, they have failed to lead at any point in a game since their 7-0 trashing of Manchester United in early March.
