Is it safe to travel to Nepal? Major tourist hotspot hit by devastating flash floods with over 1,000 dead

Almost 4,000 people are still missing, including UK tourists, after catastrophic flash floods tore through villages on the Nepal-Tibet border last week.

Authorities in Nepal have now warned of possible fresh flooding, urging residents in already devastated districts to remain on high alert. The combined death toll in Nepal and Tibet has risen to over 1,000, authorities said on Tuesday.
