The recent tilt between the Boston Celtics and the Oklahoma City Thunder has sparked discussions about the Celtics’ play under pressure, especially when they are facing the league’s best ball clubs. The game saw the Celtics trailing and eventually falling short against the Thunder, and while it ended better than the last time these two clubs met, Jaylen Brown and Jrue Holiday having a rough night did the Celtics no favors.
The Celtics had the opportunity to win the game in the contest’s fourth quarter, but the basketball gods were clearly in Oklahoma City’s corner that night.
There is no great need for the Celtics to make roster changes, but it’s important for them to address the tendency to start games slow, as this will be more challenging against tougher opponents in the postseason.
The hosts of the WEEI “Greg Hill Show” weighed in on the loss and their concerns from it; check it out above.
