The Easter holidays have already begun for Irish schoolchildren around the country.
And many more people are looking forward to the upcoming Easter weekend with a bank holiday on Monday, April 18.
The national forecaster is predicting above-average temperatures for next weekend however, this could be paired with more rainfall as tropical air will bring a considerable weather change to our shores.

"Conditions will be cloudy, windy, and damp for much of the week as mild and moist air gets pushed up from the south Atlantic from those low pressure systems."
And Met Eireann's long range forecast for the following week including the bank holiday on April 18 says: "Week 2 low pressure will continue its influence over the country, however air temperatures will remain normal for April but there is a signal slightly wetter than average conditions.
"Also a signal for higher than usual instability means there may be showery conditions at times."
