As Ireland braces itself for Storm Dudley on Wednesday, things could take an even worse turn before the weekend.
That's because as Dudley clears these shores on Thursday evening, the next tropical event will arrive: Storm Eunice.
And it could be even worse than the one that precedes it, with Met Eireann issuing a fresh weather advisory on Tuesday.
They warn that weather warnings could follow tomorrow morning.
The advisory, issued shortly after 4pm on Tuesday, reads: "Through Thursday night and Friday, Storm Eunice will track eastwards over Ireland. It has the potential to be a multi-hazard and disruptive event with damaging winds, heavy rain and snow possible.
"Current indications are that the strongest winds are most likely to affect southern counties and the most significant falls of snow are most likely over central and northern parts of the country with locally blizzard conditions possible for a time and disruption to travel.
"Warnings will be issued on Wednesday morning and updated on Thursday morning."
Storm Dudley is set to hit land overnight - with Ireland bracing itself for "damaging" winds mixed in with heavy rain showers.
A yellow craft warning is already in effect on Tuesday as gusts are to reach gale force 8, but that's only the start of it in terms of wild weather.
On Wednesday morning, westerly winds associated with Storm Dudley will reach mean speeds of 50 – 65km/h with damaging gusts of 80 – 110km/h, stronger on exposed coasts and on high ground.
