Is Evan Engram playing today? Injury updates for Jaguars TE

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without tight end Evan Engram on Sunday against the New York Jets and for the rest of the 2024 season.

Engram will need surgery on a torn labrum. Coach Doug Pederson said an MRI showed more damage than previously believed

The tight end, who missed four games with a hamstring injury previously, will have surgery to fix the torn labrum in his shoulder.

“Next man up,” Pederson said. “Brenton, Luke [Farrell], Josiah [Deguara], the entire offense, that’s what you’ve got to do. You’ve just got to rally and have that next man up mentality.”

Jaguars TE depth chart

Evan Engram had 47 catches in nine games. He was by far the No. 1 TE for Jacksonville. Josiah Deguara is listed behind him on the team’s two tight end depth chart, with Brenton Strange and Luke Farrell occupying the other role.
