Decarlos Brown Jr, aged 34, is at the centre of a high-profile case following a deadly stabbing on Charlotte's CATS LYNX Blue Line light-rail system. A resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, Brown has been identified in official filings as the man charged with killing 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, Iryna Zarutska, during an attack on 22 August 2025.
