The Laneway Festival Lineup Just Dropped And Alert The Brats, Charli xcx Is Officially Coming!!!!!

Clutch your mini skirts and Y2K sunnies, ‘cos mother Charli xcx is headlining Laneway Festival!!!!!

The highly anticipated lineup for Laneway Festival 2025 was released early Wednesday morning, with the festival organisers describing it as “one for the history books.”

Headlining the occasion is the one and only Charli xcx along with indie princess Clairo, British bedroom pop angel Beebadoobee and UK dance icons BICEP. Toro queen Remi Wolf will be popping in to keep the alt crowd happy whilst Barry Can’t Swim will be pumping up the dance floor vibes.

But that’s not all! You can also expect stellar performances from Skeggs, Girl and Girl, RONA, STÜM and Ninajirachi.

According to Ruby Miles, Laneway’s Festival Programming Coordinator, it’s going to be the best Laneway Festival yet.

“This has to be my favourite Laneway lineup we’ve ever put together,” she said.

“I’m such a fangirl of all of these artists! Having Charli xcx as our headliner is a dream come true, but the lineup’s depth from gates open until gates close will make Laneway 2025 so special.”

The news that our 365 party girl is heading Down Under isn’t all that shocking for Aussie brats. In early October, Charli kicked off headline rumours with her wave of slime-green billboards that are plaguing cities across the globe.

Although summer is over for our friends in the northern hemisphere, BRAT summer is only around the corner for us Aussies. So, why not commemorate the brativities with a ‘yuge festival with Charli as head honcho?

While that seems like a fantasy — with the devastating way Australian festivals are currently going — Charli xcx’s presence is exactly what we need.

On October 2, a BRAT green billboard appeared on social media that simply read “laneway” in the iconic black Arial font. I guess it could mean nothing… or it could mean everything!!!

The billboard is reportedly located in Sydney’s Edgware Road in Marrickville.

Speculation about Charli‘s return to Laneway were first sparked when the festival confirmed its dates for 2025. Despite not having real evidence of the BRAT singer’s arrival, some folks noticed that the poster featured a cheeky little apple.

Right off that singular apple, some folks took to Reddit linking it to Charli due to her hit song “Apple”, which has since become a ‘yuge segment in Charli and Troye Sivan‘s SWEAT Tour.

Following on that delicious Reddit thread, Charli did in fact share a TikTok lipsyncing audio from Australia’s Kath and Kim. Well, we better crack open the Tia Maria and get the footy franks going, amirite?
