Ireland is set to see some changeable conditions over the next few days with outbreaks of rain forecast mixed with some sunny spells.
However, Met Eireann has predicted an upbeat end to the month and has pinpointed when temperatures could soar again.
High pressure looks set to start to build over the country very soon which could see a return of hot weather on the horizon.
The national forecaster's long-range weather forecast predicts the return of “above average” temperatures by next weekend along with mostly dry conditions.

For the week of Monday, August 22 to Sunday, August 28, Met Eireann says: "After a mixed start to the week with rain or showers at times, it looks set to turn more settled later in the week with tentative signs high pressure will build near Ireland for the weekend.
"Temperatures are forecast to be near or slightly above average, warmest in the east and south of the country.
"Whilst there will be some rain early in the week, it is expected to turn mostly dry later with rainfall totals forecast to be below normal nationwide."
And that's not the end of the good weather as high pressure looks set to continue to dominate over the country as schools return in September with higher temperatures and less rainfall than normal for the time of year.
For the week of Monday, August 29 to Sunday, September 4, Met Eireann says:"High pressure looks set to be a significant influence on Ireland’s weather as we move towards early September.
"It looks set to become quite settled with below average rainfall forecast nationwide, driest across the west and north of the country. Mean air temperatures are forecast to be slightly above normal."
