Irn-Bru launch nationwide Snowman hunt with the iconic character dotted around Glasgow

Irn-Bru’s iconic Snowman character has returned to screens across the nation for the festive period, and the brand is now tasking Scots with hunting him down.

They’re challenging eagle-eyed Scots to spot the star of the advert, and snatch the can back off him using a series of cryptic clues. In the Irn-Bru campaign, voted the nation’s most memorable, the Snowman ruins Christmas for a wee lad by stealing his beloved can.

If you’re embarking on the hunt to get the can back, and find him before anyone else, you could be in for a flight on the famous seaplane which the young boy uses to snatch back his can in the advert. Tucked away in 30 locations from Glasgow to Inverness and everywhere in between, the 6 foot Snowman will appear on popular landmarks and buildings over the course of 10 days.

Snowman sightings will be posted on the Irn-Bru social media channels, while Scotland’s comedy stars such as Paul Dock and Calum Bowie will be sharing clues on their accounts.

Adrian Troy, Marketing Director at AG Barr, said: “In Scotland, the return of Irn-Bru’s Snowman to our screens means the festive period has truly begun.

“But, as a big fan of the ginger nectar, this also means that he’s coming for our Bru. Alongside the ad going live, we wanted to bring Irn-Bru’s Snowman to life in cities across Scotland - with lifesize pop-ups and amazing prizes to get everyone in the festive spirit.

“Keep your eyes peeled at the start of December and snatch a can away from his snowy hands for the chance to go on a trip in the incredible seaplane.”

You can follow @IRNBRU on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more information. The Snowman Hunt begins today, December 2, running until December 11.
