Irishman seeks answers after dream girl vanishes after more than two years of dating

An Irishman has been left broken-hearted after his dream girl reportedly vanished after they dated for two and a half years. Rob was left confused after he met the love of his life and dated her for two and a half years - before she disappeared.

Appearing on Catfish UK this week, he revealed he couldn't get over what was going on and decided to go on the show after his girlfriend Sarah ghosted him. The pair met on Tinder, but they never met in person - and then she vanished out of the blue, reports Irish Mirror.

He told Worcestershire presenter Oobah Butler: ''At the time, I was getting over a break-up with my ex-girlfriend of seven years, and Sarah had also come out of a long-term relationship, so we really bonded over that.

"She's always been there when I needed her. We can chat on a deeper level. We've even discussed me moving to Dublin so that we could be closer to each other."

He added: ''This could be the one for me.''

He continued: ''It's not fair. I've given her everything.''

Heartbreakingly, the show managed to find her - and things came to a head in a shocking conclusion.

Meeting Sarah in a park, they realised she had gone quiet because she had moved on with a new man.

Rob fumed: ''You don't think it's invasive to come into my life, get me connected with you [...] and just cut me out?

''I thought you could be dead.''

Sarah replied: ''A lot of that has to do with me, I'll admit. But geographically, you know we don't live in the same place exactly.''

Rob went on: ''It's really bittersweet - that you're here, you're okay [...], but it does hit me. '2.5 years is a long time.''
