An Irishman was killed in the conflict in Ukraine.
Rory Mason, 23, died while fighting in the International Legion for the Defence of Ukraine as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The young man was in the Kharkiv region when he died on Wednesday, September 28, the Irish Examiner reports.
Dublin Live has contacted the Department of Foreign Affairs for a comment. The war in Ukraine has started in February this year after Russia invaded the country.

The number of civilian deaths has been estimated at nearly 6,000 and around 10,000 to 11,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in the conflict.
