An Irishman killed in a crash in Bali has been named as Keith Coughlan.

The MMA fighter, originally from Galway but living in Australia, was driving a motorcycle in North Kuta when he was involved in a collision, with his body being found on Sunday morning.

His body is believed to have spotted by a local as he walked along a road in North Kuta at about 5am on Sunday morning.

The Daily Mail Australia reports that his legs had become trapped underneath the motorbike, while 9 News Australia claims that seven bottles of beer were found at the crash scene on Bali's southern coast.

Just one month ago, Keith, in his 20s, won his first MMA bout while competing on the Island at Canggu Fight Night 23.

A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs told the Irish Mirror: "The Department of Foreign Affairs is aware of this case and is providing consular assistance to the family. As with all consular cases, the Department does not comment on the details of any specific case."
