Irish weather woman Caitlín Nic Aoidh pulled a spooky Halloween prank on viewers while delivering the forecast on Irish language channel TG4 last night.
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary as Nic Aoidh delivered the overnight forecast before reminding viewers about the clocks going back.
After signing off however, the segment took a turn.

She suddenly dipped down as a new frame appeared around the green screen she used to deliver the weather report.
Terrifying music played as the image on the green screen went fuzzy, before she stepped out of the frame to recreate the iconic spine-chilling scene from The Ring.
The channel then went fuzzy as a broadcast error screen appeared.
This isn’t the first time Nic Aoidh pulled a spooky surprise on viewers.
In 2015, she presented the Halloween weather segment while perched on a magic carpet.

The following year, she shocked viewers after being struck by a bolt of lightning.
The crew at TG4 are also known to play with Snapchat filters during spooky season.

TG4 are not the only Irish channel to incorporate the Halloween spirit into their news broadcasts.
In 2019, RTÉ newsreaders Eileen Whelan and Ray Kennedy turned into bats at the end of the main evening news.

We can’t wait to see what both TG4 and RTÉ do next year!
