Met Éireann has pinpointed a potential day of sunny spells and warm temperatures that could tempt people to break out their barbecues for the first time this year.
The national forecaster's outlook for the remainder of the week cuts a less than appealing outlook, with showers expected each day except for one between this week and next week.
"On Tuesday, showers will spread eastwards and become widespread, some heavy and thundery in the afternoon," the forecast for the week stated.

Wednesday remains much the same, being a "showery day with some heavy and possibly thundery downpours" while Thursday is expected to bring both "sunshine and showers."
However, Friday has been pinpointed as a potential summery day, according to Met Éireann.
They said: "Mainly dry weather with some sunshine is expected on Friday as winds ease light variable or calm. A little warmer too with highs of 15 to 18 degrees."
Weather expert Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather also confirmed the sunny and warm conditions tipped for Friday.
He said: "Friday looking mainly dry but very uncertain beyond Friday."
Met Éireann has also indicated that the outlook is uncertain into the weekend.
The national forecast for next week reads: "Current indications suggest that next weekend will be changeable with some rain or showers at times but dry bright periods occurring too with sunny spells. Temperatures around 14 to 17 degrees on Saturday, though it looks like it'll turn cooler on Sunday."
