The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an alert about a popular Tesco product.
It said a batch of Tesco Arrabbiata Sweet and Spicy sauce may be “unsafe” for some people to eat.
The product may contain milk, but it’s not listed on its ingredients.

An FSAI spokesperson said on Tuesday: “The above batch of Tesco Arrabbiata Sweet & Spicy sauce may contain milk which is not declared in the list of ingredients. This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk.”
The affected product is 350g and has a use by date of March 2, 2023.
It comes just days after a separate alert was issued by the FSAI for Boots Kids Daily Health Multivitamins Strawberry Flavour.
A batch of the gummy multivitamins was ‘mispacked’ with Boots Kids Health Multivitamin + Omega 3 Orange Flavour, which contains soya that wasn’t listed on its ingredients.
The FSAI said: “The above batch of Boots Kids Daily Health Multivitamins Strawberry Flavour was mispacked with Boots Kids Health Multivitamin + Omega 3 Orange Flavour gummies. This product contains soya which is not declared in the list of ingredients. This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of soya.”
The impacted product has a batch code 82221103 and best before date of 17 May 2024.
