Late Glenn Fullam's girlfriend Kirsty Forde has shared that the soldier planned to propose to her before his tragic death last month.
Glenn, from Killinarden, was a soldier with the Irish Air Corps, and he also played football with Crumlin United FC. The father-of-one was laid to rest on April 20 in St Anne’s Church, Bohernabreena followed by burial in Bohernabreena Cemetery.
Taking to social media, Glenn's partner Kirsty shared a stunning photograph of her wearing the ring he had bought for her. She said: “Glenn had a ring for me. He wanted to wait until he was better and not in hospital anymore to propose.

“Unfortunately, he passed before he could give me it himself. Not how we wanted but finally engaged to the love of my life."
Glenn's teammates at Crumlin United set up a GoFundMe for his family following his death and have raised €28,000 to date. "Those of you who knew Glenn, know he always had a smile on his face," they wrote on the fundraiser.
"Glenn was full of life and was a big part of our club. At 26 years old he was taken away from his family and his football family way too soon, Glenn fought with everything to the end with a smile on his face while still making others smile. Glenn was part of the Irish Defence Forces and served his country with pride.
"Although we can never take away the pain Glenn leaving has left behind, we hope by setting up this page we can ease some of the pressure for his family."
