Irish Rail has issued an urgent warning to passengers looking to travel this bank holiday weekend.
The public transport service is expected a particularly busy weekend with over 200,000 customers travelling on intercity services thanks to the Bloom Festival and the June bank holiday weekend. A number of intercity trains have already sold out.
Passengers have been urged to pre-book their train tickets as soon as possible so as to not miss out on their weekend plans. Irish Rail said it will operate additional services where possible and maximise capacity to meet the expected demand.
