Irish police investigating hundreds of reports of Grok child abuse material

Hundreds of investigations are currently underway into content shared on X, a senior Irish police officer has revealed, amidst serious concerns regarding potential child sexual abuse material (CSAM) generated on the platform using its artificial intelligence tool, Grok.

Irish politicians convened an Oireachtas Media Committee hearing on Wednesday, bringing together police and other experts. The session largely addressed the escalating worries over the proliferation of CSAM and other AI-generated sexualised content on the social network, previously known as Twitter.
