Thousands of Irish holidaymakers will jet abroad over the Easter period as they seek out sunny resorts or bustling cities.

Spain is the top destination for Irish tourists, closely followed by Portugal, Italy and France.

Despite the majority of strict travel measures now a thing of the past, there are other factors to consider when jetting off to locations like the Canaries and the Algarve.
