Irish girl Catherine Agbaje not feeling the love from Love Island partner Scott

Love Island fans were left feeling baffled at Tuesday night’s bedroom scenes with Irish girl Catherine Agbaje and former Bohemians goalkeeper Scott Van-der-Sluis.

Dubliner Catherine, 22, was filmed snuggling up to the League of Ireland footballer under the covers despite viewers believing the pair would not be pursuing a romantic relationship.

Scott, who has lived in Ireland for a year, was drawn to Irish beauty, Catherine, when he first entered the Love Island villa - delighting Irish fans of the show.

The pair hit it off with a chat about Dublin before Scott soon set his sights on Leah Taylor from Manchester - who is a close friend of a past Irish Love Islander, Maura Higgins.

Catherine was left single when her TV partner, André Furtado, was dumped from the villa.

Now she has been dealt a further blow with Scott admitting he feels more chemistry with Leah.

It seemed that any romance between Scott and Catherine was dead in the water so fans were confused when they saw the pair cuddled up in bed later that evening.

On Tuesday’s show Scott told the other lads in the house: “I’m just living every boy’s dream, really.”

Catherine told Scott over brunch: “You know what? I need to start going after what I want.

“And obviously, I hate saying it, but you know, I do think we get along.

“I’m not here to rush you to make any decision, but things do move fast in here.

But Scott seemed to be keen to leave his options open.

He told Catherine: “I know, I know, I want to get to know you and then, I’ll be like who am I more compatible with?”

She replied: “If I saw you out in Dublin, you’d definitely be someone I would speak to.”

Scott agreed, saying: “Great minds think alike.”

However in a twist on Tuesday, the villa’s contestants were told to nominate the couples they felt had the least chemistry.

And Catherine and Scott received two negative votes from their fellow islanders.
