Irish paranormal investigators have shared images of what they believe to be a ‘green lady’ at The Scotia Bar in Glasgow.
The Scotia Bar, which was built in 1792, claims to be the oldest surviving pub in Glasgow.
Built on one of the city’s four original streets when the River Clyde was a major shipping thoroughfare, it served sailors, merchants, dock workers, and passengers.

The bar, which celebrated its 230th birthday in 2022, still serves as a gathering place for the arts.
There have long since been stories and legends of the Green Lady.
The Scotia pub has claimed to have their own Green Lady which frequents the snug.
Paranormal Supernatural Investigations Ireland on a recent preliminary investigation found 'evidence' of the Green Lady.
The Green Lady is a barmaid in a green velvet dress that has been reported to walk up and down the length of the Scotia Pub.
She has rarely or never been caught on camera but on this occasion investigators may have just got a possible capture of the Green Lady trying to manifest in the Scotia Bar, Stockwell Street, Glasgow Scotland.
It is here she is rumoured to haunt the snug being her decided place of residence.
In an image shared with The Irish Mirror, PSI Ireland captured an unbelievable shot with a green hue which appears to show a woman smiling as if to say ‘here I am.’, while on the preliminary investigation.
Speaking on the discovery, Richard of PSI Ireland told the Irish Mirror, “After viewing the image directly after it was captured the proprietor was flabbergasted and exclaimed that in all her years there had never seen an image like it.
"WOW" she said and showed it to another member of staff, both were aghast at the female resemblance in the image. We plan to travel back to the Scotia Bar to carry out a full investigation to see if we can support the Paranormal claims that have been made about here.”
The team shared the image on their Facebook page with the public.
During the 1960s and ’70s, the Scotia pub was a haven for folk singers, poets, and other performers.
Singer Gerry Rafferty and comedian Sir Billy Connolly got their start playing at The Scotia with their band The Humblebums.
A few of the former patrons and employees are rumoured to haunt the pub.
There have also been claims of the ghost of a young boy playing in the doorway, thought to be the spirit of the former owner’s son.
With such a long history, the pub has more than its fair share of ghosts that have been spotted by staff and customers over the years including a former manager who hanged himself in the cellar and a prostitute called 'Annie' who was contacted by a local ghost hunter group in 2007.
