The Met Gala kicked off on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Monday drawing in some of the most stylish actors, musicians and models Hollywood has to offer.
The theme for the annual event this year was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, a celebration of the iconic German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld with attendees being asked to wear clothes that honoured the late legend.

Among Hollywood’s brightest and finest were some of Ireland’s most fashionable stars who also created some dazzling looks to raise money for The Costume Institute. Here are the best-dressed Irish stars at the Met Gala:
Barry Keoghan
Barry Keoghan has been non-stop on the red carpet. From the Baftas to the Oscars the Dublin actor has had his fair share of snaps taken while looking glammed up with stars.
He ascended the staircase in style donning a striking black and blue tartan-print Burberry suit along with a turtleneck and broach.
Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith
Also on the red carpet for the Met Gala was Navan native Pierce Brosnan alongside his wife, US journalist Keely Shaye Smith.
The former 007 is no stranger to tuxedos and martinis and 2023 is no different for the one-time Bond. He was sporting a slick black tuxedo with a white shirt and retro glasses. Smith wore a long and elegant black gown.
Samantha Barry
Cork native and Glamour editor Samantha Barry was also looking stunning at the Met Gala in a burgundy dress.
Taking to Instagram, the editor explained in a post that she could not be happier with her Elizabeth Kennedy-designed gown.
She posted: "I couldn't be more in love with my Met Gala red carpet look and the team that put it all together. So honoured and humbled to be included in such an iconic night."
