Irish actor Daryl McCormack has been nominated for BAFTA’s Rising Star Award.

The former Fair City star – who played Pierce Devlin in the hit RTE One soap - has been named among this year’s nominees after his role in Sophie Hyde’s sex positive drama, Good Luck To You, Leo Grande.

The Peaky Blinders actor is up against Naomi Ackie (Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody), Sheila Atim (The Woman King), Aimee Lou Wood (Living) and Emma Mackey (Emily).
