IRFU hit Terenure with punishments after fan behaviour at All-Ireland League final

The IRFU has hit Terenure with punishments after crowd behaviour at their All-Ireland League final.

The Dublin side beat Clontarf in the final at the start of May and have been slapped with a fine and will play with a game behind closed doors.

Terenure have reportedly agreed to pay a €12,300 according to the Irish Independent to cover the cost of damage in the stadium.

And a supporter has also reportedly been handed a five year suspension from rugby activities after they were removed from the ground.

And the side will play their first home game of the new season behind closed doors which is set to take place at the start of October.

Nearly 9,000 attended the final last month where Terenure ran out 50-22 winners.
