This week has seen the warm weather blasting Ireland continue alongside some of the first weather warnings for quite some time.
While Ireland may be looking forward to a June with some pretty decent temperatures, reaching up to 25C in some parts of the country this weekend, the national forecaster has warned that showers and isolated thunderstorms will once again dominate the weekend.
Here is Met Eireann’s forecast for the weekend:

Friday
While there will be some hazy sunny spells and times, tomorrow will be a cloudier day overall with showery outbreaks of rain in the south extending to most parts during the day.
The showers will be heavy at times and isolated thunderstorms are possible. Highest temperatures of 19C to 25C generally, warmest in Ulster and north Leinster in moderate to occasionally fresh southeasterly winds.
Mostly cloudy with scattered showers continuing, heavy at times. Some mist and fog patches will develop too in light to moderate south to southeast winds. Mild with temperatures not falling below 13C to 16C.
Saturday
Scattered showers will continue during Saturday and after a largely cloudy start, sunny spells will develop in between the showers during the afternoon and evening.
Some of the showers will be heavy and isolated thunderstorms and spot flooding will be possible. Highest temperatures of 19C to 22C with a light to moderate south to southeast wind.
Showers will die out from most areas during Saturday night, leaving clear spells. Patches of mist and fog will form in light to moderate south-to-southeast winds. Mild again with lowest temperatures of 12C to 16C.
Sunday
Sunday will be another showery day with sunny spells. Some of the showers will be heavy and isolated thunderstorms and spot flooding will be possible. Highest temperatures of 19C to 22C with a light to moderate southeasterly wind.
Showers will become isolated early on Sunday night, leaving mostly dry weather with clear spells for a time. However, rain will possibly move into the north and east later in the night. Lowest temperatures of 12C to 15C in a light and variable wind.
Monday
Scattered showers are expected again on Monday, with longer spells of rain possible in the east and north. Some heavy falls of rain and isolated thunderstorms are possible too, which may cause spot flooding. Highest temperatures of 17C to 22C in a light to moderate, variable wind.
Rest of the week
Little change expected midweek, staying warm with further showers.
