Good weather could be on the way in little over a week with forecasters predicting high pressure to build over Ireland.
By August 5 it looks like the country could be basking in lovely sunshine yet again with a spell of the favourable conditions.
Carlow Weather expert Alan O'Reilly said "the trends continue to look good for some fine weather from around the 5th with next weekend looking good."

And Met Eireann also confirmed they expect high pressure to bring a pleasant turn in conditions in early August.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Current indications suggest that high pressure will slowly build from midweek onwards, leading to mostly dry and settled conditions."
But before that, it will be a mixed weekend with plenty of rain spoiling many bank holiday plans.
The forecaster added: "Rather dull with patchy rain and drizzle this morning. Becoming somewhat drier and brighter through the day as the rain eases and occasional sunny spells develop. A spell of rain will push into the southwest by evening.
"Some low cloud and mist will linger near Atlantic coasts also. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees, warmest in the southeast, in a light to moderate westerly breeze.
"Mostly dull to begin with lingering outbreaks of rain, heaviest in the south. Sunny spells will likely develop with just well scattered showers following by the afternoon.
"There is a chance however that more rain will develop over the southern half of the country during the day. Highest temperatures will range from 17 to 21 degrees, warmest in southern counties in light northwest or variable winds."
Monday again will be a largely dull day but Tuesday could see a big improvement with temperatures hitting 24C in some areas, before the proper settled weather arrives.
