Rain is set to continue to batter Ireland over the next few days - after almost 50mm fell across one county over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The latest grim prediction from Met Éireann arrives in the middle of a status yellow weather warning, which remains in place until midday for Clare, Galway, Kerry and Mayo and warns of 'hazardous' conditions and the potential for floods.
And they weren't kidding, after more than 46mm of rain had fallen at one of their weather stations in Mayo up til 10pm on Monday evening.

Sadly, it doesn't look like things are going to improve for Tuesday, which has already started grey, wet and windy for those of you awake.
Naturally, those horror conditions are teamed up with sweltering humidity, and that continues on Tuesday as the national forecaster has predicted: "Today will start mostly cloudy with showers, heavy and thundery in parts. Brighter conditions will develop from the northwest through the day bringing some warm sunny spells.
"A few scattered showers will continue, mainly in the west but they will become lighter. While it may hold a little cooler on exposed western fringes, highest temperatures will generally range from 18 to 23 degrees."
Thankfully, we do get some light relief on Tuesday night, but Wednesday brings wet weather once more.
"Tomorrow will bring some cloudier periods with scattered showers. The showers could become heavy and prolonged in parts of the north but will be light and well scattered further to the south." Met Éireann say.
They add: "Some sunny spells will develop at times too. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees"
And the forecast finishes with some brighter news for Thursday, as Met Éireann predict: "Thursday will be dry for many, but scattered showers will affect coastal parts of the north and northwest mainly, where a few will be heavy. There'll be some sunshine in the afternoon"
