Ireland is set for another freezing night with temperatures dropping as low as -3C and snow flurries in parts of the country on Friday evening.
The unusual April weather is set to last all weekend with hail, sleet and even snow in some parts of the country.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Staying chilly for the rest of the day with sunshine and showers, many heavy with hail. Some showers of sleet and a few snow flurries possible as well. Isolated thunderstorms possible, mainly in Ulster and Leinster. Showers dying out later this evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees but temperatures dropping as low as 2 or 3 degrees in showers. Moderate to fresh north or northwest breezes.
