Met Eireann has forecast a washout week with showers every day and temperatures staying in the mid teens.
The wet conditions are expected to last for the entire week, with the national forecaster saying that low pressure will dominate through to next weekend.
However one Irish weather expert revealed that there is hope for 'improved weather' next month.
Weather expert Alan O’Reilly shared the latest weather models for early July showing an "Azores High" moving towards Ireland that could bring dry conditions and warm weather.

A post on the Carlow Weather Twitter account said: "On a miserable wet Sunday morning it’s good to see the weather model trends showing a chance of improved weather in July."
Here's Met Eireann's forecast for the next few days:
Monday 27th June
Sunny spells and a few showers during the morning. However, cloud increasing from the Atlantic bringing outbreaks of rain to western parts during the afternoon and evening. However many eastern areas holding dry for much of the day. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees. Light to moderate southwesterly winds will back southerly and increase strong along Atlantic coasts in the afternoon.
Rain will spread across the country Monday night, clearing to showers by morning. Lowest temperatures 10 to 12 degrees as strong southerly winds moderate.
Tuesday 28th June
Persistent rain will clear away to the east on Tuesday morning, leaving a mixed day for all areas with sunny spells and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees. Winds mainly moderate southerly, fresh along coasts.
Showers will continue Tuesday night, with some clear spells. Temperatures generally not falling below 8 to 10 degrees, as winds fall light to moderate and variable.
Wednesday 29th June
Another showery day in store for Wednesday, with more persistent rain moving into the south of the country and extending northwards through the day, clearing to showers by nightfall. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees, with light northerly or variable winds.
Thursday 30th June
Little change on Thursday with light to moderate westerly winds and showers in the afternoon.
Current indications suggest that conditions will remain unsettled through the weekend as low pressure continues to dominate.
