Met Éireann's weekend forecast makes for rotten reading, but there is good news in their prediction that the stormy weather which battered Ireland on Tuesday and Wednesday seems to have passed over us now.
Rain, wind, thunder and lightning swept across the country over the last 48 hours, causing road collisions, power cuts and even setting a wind turbine off the coast of Wicklow on fire.
But the weather warnings which were in place have now expired.

However, that doesn't mean that we've escaped all the rain and wind, as mother nature is set to bite back over the weekend.
Thursday will be fairly dry, though Met Éireann's forecast does not that there'll be a "few showers about."
They add: "It will be mild for October with highest temperatures of 15 to 18C. Mist will affect some southern and eastern coasts and hills in moderate southeast breezes, strengthening in the southwest later in the day. Persistent rain will develop in the southwest later this evening."
Most areas will be hit by showers overnight, with rain spreading "across Munster early , extending to most of the country later in the night. However, some northwestern areas will hold dry. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13C."
Friday is much of the same, though it'll be a bit more windy to go alongside the drier periods, with temperatures reaching 17C in parts
Saturday will be much like today, with showers around the place - particularly over Connacht and Ulster, where Met Éireann say they will be "heavy and prolonged".
But on Saturday evening, we start to see it twist, as rain spreads from the south, which will hit the rest of the island on Sunday, where Met Éireann warn "some heavy downpours are possible, especially in the east of the country. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16C in a moderate southeast wind. Further outbreaks of rain on Sunday night. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12C in fresh and gusty cyclonic variable winds."
