Ireland is in for some scorching hot weather this weekend as most of the country will see temperatures reach 22C on Sunday - and it will hit 23C in Kerry.
Met Eireann has said that high pressure will continue to dominate our weather generating mild and dry conditions for the foreseeable.
Today, there will be some sunny spells in the morning with it becoming cloudier throughout the day. It will be hottest in the southeast with highest temperatures reaching 21C.

And weather expert Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather also predicted that we have some lovely weather in store this weekend.
He wrote on Twitter: "Fine days ahead for the rest of the week and the Weekend also looks nice and settled with good sunshine too."
However, he outlined some possible changes in the weather pattern that could see it become cooler on Sunday as there was some discrepancy between two different weather forecasters; the The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) and the Global Forecast System (GFS).
He said: "The details around the weekend are little uncertain regarding temperatures, while the ECMWF has most areas over 20c the GFS brings cool air in for Sunday. Hopefully the GFS is wrong and ECMWF is correct. One to watch."
