Ireland will enjoy another bout of warm weather late this week as experts predict temperatures will soar to the early twenties over the bank holiday weekend.
There will be some showers and damp weather for the next couple of days, but the outlook suggests things will heat up from Thursday onwards.
Met Eireann’s forecast says there will be sizzling temperatures from between anywhere of 17 to 23 degrees nationwide by the weekend.
Friday is set to be an ideal beach weather day, as conditions are supposed to be “dry with long spells of summer sunshine and light easterly breezes.”
Sunny spells will also dominate most of Saturday, although Met Eireann warns that the spike in temperatures will give way to Atlantic showers early next week.
A forecaster said: "Current indications suggest it will be mostly dry and warm with temperatures continuing to reach the highs teens or low 20s. Later in the weekend, Atlantic rainbelts will likely push through."
The next few days will be overcast, however, with temperatures potentially dropping to as low as 9 degrees in some parts of the country.
Tuesday looks set to experience “more persistent rain” and colder temperatures, particularly in Leinster and Ulster.
Areas like Wexford, however, look set to remain dry for this evening and the forecast indicates that there will be a few sunny spells across the country this evening following the showers.
