Ireland is set to see record-breaking temperatures today as things heat up across the country.

The warning will remain in place until 7pm Tuesday for Leinster.

Conditions are forecast to return to normal on Tuesday as the brief warm spell comes to an end.
A forecaster said: “The hot plume of air moves us tomorrow with the hottest day of this brief warm spell. Temperatures quickly drop back to normal by Wednesday. No heatwave as that requires 5 days over 25c but tomorrow could be a record breaking day all the same.”
They added: “Risk of rain returns again Tuesday but hit and miss showers. Some models also showing rain possible next Sunday but uncertainty around that yet.”
Here is a more detailed look at Met Eireann’s forecast.
