Ireland is set to be blasted with heavy downpours of rain with thunderstorms likely throughout the week.
Met Eireann has forecast an end to the dry weather as showers spread across the country, although temperatures remain relatively high.
A Status Yellow Gale warning will remain in place from Mizen Head to Loop Head to Erris Head from Monday to Wednesday.

Southeast winds will occasionally reach gale force 8 on Irish coastal waters from Mizen Head to Loop Head to Erris Head.
The south and southwest will see the worst of the conditions. However, rain will become widespread as the morning continues.
Thankfully, things look set to improve for the weekend as one forecaster said: “A mixed week ahead with showers or even heavy rain Tuesday but might improve for weekend”.

Monday, May 16
A wet start today with showery rain in many areas and heavy downpours in places.
Through the morning and early afternoon, the rain will clear northwards to sunny spells and scattered showers.
Some showers will be heavy with the potential for localised thundery downpours.
A humid day with highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in moderate to fresh southerly winds.
Tonight will be largely dry with clear spells at first. However, further showery rain will spread from the southwest overnight.
Becoming blustery as the rain spreads in with moderate to fresh and gusty southeasterly winds, increasing strength in the west and north.
Mild with lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees.
Tuesday, May 17
Outbreaks of rain will clear northwards tomorrow morning, but another spell of rain will quickly follow from the south.
The rain will become widespread and heavy through the afternoon, especially in the east. Western parts will have more showery conditions with some sunny spells.
Some thundery downpours are likely in parts. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in moderate or fresh southerly winds.
Tuesday night will bring showers or longer spells of rain, and it will be breezy or windy, especially near the west coast, where the winds will be very blustery. They will be coming from a mild southerly direction with lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.
Wednesday, May 18
A largely dry start with sunny spells and just a few showers. However, rain will spread northwards across the country through the afternoon and evening, with some heavy downpours possible.
Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty south or southeasterly winds, increasing strong at times near coasts.
Rain will ease away on Wednesday night, with clear spells developing and some mist or fog patches forming as the winds ease. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees.
Thursday, May 19
A mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, with showers most frequent and occasionally heavy over the western half of the country. However, there will be a good deal of dry weather overall.
Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in moderate south to southwest winds, fresher near coasts.
Friday, May 20
At the moment, Friday looks like it will be very showery or wet with some blustery or strong winds locally and temperatures around the mid-teens.
Weekend
Sunshine and scattered showers look like following on Saturday in a fresh westerly breeze and temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees, with drier and a little warmer weather in store for Sunday next.
