Met Eireann has given the first glimpse at what the weather for the new Bank Holiday weekend will be like - and it's mostly good news.
The new permanent Irish public holiday has been given to celebrate St Brigid's Day and will be taken on Monday, February 6 this year.
In terms of the weather forecast for the weekend, there will not be a large amount of rain and though it will drop to 'sub-zero temperatures' on Saturday night and remain cold on Sunday, it will be back to higher temperatures by Monday.
