Ireland weather: Met Eireann give unusual forecast as ‘fresh polar and mild tropical maritime air’ spread across the country

Ireland is set for some unusual weather as “fresh polar maritime air, and mild tropical maritime air” spreads across the country as the week continues.

Met Eireann has forecast a westerly air-flow to dominate during the coming week with frontal systems moving in from the Atlantic at times.

As Ireland lies near the polar front, alternating incursions of fresh polar maritime air and mild tropical maritime air are expected.
