Temperatures are set to nosedive tonight as cold air grips Ireland after a mild period of weather.
Met Eireann are forecasting lows of 2C in some parts of the country before temperatures jump back up by 15C in many areas on Saturday.
The forecaster is warning people to be prepared for the sudden change in just a few hours.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Dry, calm and mostly clear tonight. Rather cold though with lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees. Some mist or fog patches will develop later.

"A cool crisp start to Saturday with any overnight mist and fog patches soon clearing. Most areas will be dry with a mix of cloud and hazy sunshine. Isolated showers are possible in the north and west. Another fresh day with light northerly breezes and highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees (best values in the southwest)."
Saturday night is set to be quite cold again with near freezing temperatures again, the forecaster added: "Saturday night will be dry in most areas with some patches of mist or fog. Cloud will thicken from the north, bringing patchy rain or drizzle to northern and western counties overnight. Another chilly night with lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees. Light westerly breezes or calm conditions."
