Ireland weather: Met Eireann forecasts 26C scorcher before nasty turn for entire country

The end of Friday's 'heatwave' is unfortunately already in sight with the weather set to become dramatically cooler by the end of the day.

Met Eireann has forecast warm with sunny spells in the south and east on Friday with highs of 25C in many parts of Leinster and Munster.

In a stark contrast on the other side of the countyr, Connacht and Ulster won’t see the same sunshine as it will be cloudier and cooler with a chance of showery patches of rain as temperatures reach around 15C.
