Met Eireann has issued its forecast for the week ahead, and while the freezing temperatures that were in place recently are not set to return, rain and showers will dominate the week ahead - with isolated thunderstorms coming for one day.
In its weekly outlook, the national forecast said that for the week coming the weather would be “generally unsettled with rain and showers at times.”
However, while the weather might be a washout, temperatures are set to rise. At no point over the next week does it drop to freezing, with the highest temperatures reaching up to 14 degrees on some days.
