Met Eireann’s forecast for the remainder of the week sees most counties bathing in sunshine and warm weather - while one or two coastal areas cope with rain.
According to global meteorologists, Ireland is set to be warmer than Barcelona at times, with temperatures reaching 17C for a lucky few counties.
As for today, it’ll be cloudy with rain and drizzle in the west and southwest early this morning “but otherwise dry with clear spells and patches of mist.”

The rain and mist will begin to clear through the morning and for the rest of the day there will be hazy sunny spells and isolated showers.
A few heavy showers are possible in the west during the afternoon and highest temperatures are due to range from 13 to 17 degrees in a moderate to fresh east to southeast breeze.
Tomorrow - Friday - will be largely dry with hazy sunny spells and just isolated light showers in the morning in the south and southeast.
It will become cloudier over the southern half of the country, bringing scattered outbreaks of rain. It will become breezier as the day unfolds and a moderate to fresh east to northeast wind develops.
On Saturday morning it will be dry with sunny spells over the northern half of the country but it will be cloudier further south with patches of light rain.
During the afternoon, sunny spells and scattered showers will develop and will be most frequent in the south and east but by evening most areas will be dry.
Highest temperatures will reach 15C in a moderate to fresh northeasterly breeze.
Sunday will be another dry day with sunny spells in the morning but well-scattered showers will pop up in the afternoon and evening in the northeast and southwest.
Highest temperatures will range from 11 to 15 degrees and will be mildest in the southwest.
The summer weather looks set to continue into next week for most regions with Monday starting off with a good amount of sunshine.
The best of the sunny spells are expected in the morning and the evening, with cloudier conditions and scattered showers in the afternoon.
As next week continues, the Irish forecaster says: “Little change into midweek with showers at times but overall a lot of dry weather. Maximum daytime temperatures staying around 11 to 15 degrees, best in the west.”
