Met Eireann is forecasting a hot May with two weeks of above average temperatures just around the corner.
A mild week with unsettled weather at times will be followed by 14 days where forecasters are predicting blissful conditions around the country.
From Monday, May 16, Met Eireann say: "High pressure looks sets to dominate with more settled conditions expected. This will cause rainfall amounts to be below average, and temperatures will be higher than normal for mid-May, winds will be light to moderate with variable cloud cover."

And that looks set to be followed by another lovely week, the forecast adds: "Looking ahead to week 3, similar conditions can be expected with a signal for rainfall amounts to remain below average, and temperature to remain slightly above normal for late May."
Today itself will actually be a stunning day in parts of the country with the mercury soaring as high as 20C.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Any mist and fog will lift this morning and there will be a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Through the day it will become cloudier across the western half of the country, bringing patchy light rain or drizzle, but it will stay dry with sunny spells in the east, hazy at times.
"Highest temperatures will range between 14 and 20 degrees, coolest under cloudier skies in the west and southwest, and there will be a light to moderate southerly wind."
But Monday will be much wetter, they add: "Rain in the west and northwest will spread across the rest of the country during the morning and early afternoon, turning heavy at times. The rain will clear from most areas by evening, but may linger in the southeast, and will be followed by sunny spells and scattered showers.
"Some of the showers will be heavy, particularly in the northwest later. It will be breezy with a moderate to fresh southerly wind, occasionally strong. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees."
