Ireland is set for a rather unsettled end to the week as scattered showers spread across the country.
Met Eireann has forecast conditions to worsen as the days continue, with rain becoming more persistent and heavier in parts.
A forecaster said: "Huge uncertainty around Sunday and Monday with GFS keeps things mainly dry and calm but ECWMF brings in heavy rain and some windy conditions. Let's hope GFS wins this one!"

However, things may improve later this month as an expert pinpointed a possible date for "back to school weather" in the final week of August.
They said: "Back to school weather anyone? Well the GFS model is trying its best to make it happen
"Please note these charts are only for fun, long long way off so very likely it could change but we can hope!"
Meanwhile, today will be mostly dry and bright to start, though a few light showers may linger in the east and northeast. Cloud will then build from the west from this afternoon onwards, bringing outbreaks of light rain and drizzle into western areas by evening.
Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees, warmest in the southeast. Light to moderate northerly winds, gradually backing southerly.
A cloudy, humid night with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle continuing to extend across the country from the west. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
A dull and damp start tomorrow with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. It will become clearer through the afternoon with decent sunny spells developing, though a few isolated showers may linger.
Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds, veering westerly.
Dry and clear in most areas overnight, though there will be some showers along western coastal counties. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in mainly light southwest to west winds.
There will be good sunny spells on Friday with scattered showers, most frequent towards the north of the country. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in mainly light westerly winds.
A band of rain is expected to pass over the country on Friday night, possibly turning heavy in northern parts.
Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees. Southwest to west winds, mainly light to moderate, though turning strong along western and northwestern coasts.
Rain will turn to showers on Saturday with occasional sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, warmest in the southeast, in light to moderate westerly breezes.
Cloudy with scattered showers overnight. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in mainly light southerly winds.
Another dull, wet day on Sunday with potentially heavy rain early on, giving way to showers later in the day. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees, warmest in the southeast, in light to moderate southwesterly or variable winds.
Conditions will remain unsettled for the early days of next week, with further rain and showers expected. More settled conditions may develop later in the week.
