Ireland weather: Met Eireann forecast grim conditions for August bank holiday weekend but highs of 23C in one area

Met Eireann has forecast a mixed bag of conditions for the bank holiday weekend with showers at times - and a washout day on Monday.

The warmest conditions over the weekend will be felt across the south and east of Ireland with temperatures reaching highs of 23C.

Saturday and Sunday will see occasional outbreaks of rain and showers but the bank holiday Monday is set to be blasted with heavy downpours.
