Lovely weather is on the way for as Ireland will enjoy sunshine this weekend - and it's only going to get hotter.
High pressure is set to bring mostly dry, settled conditions over the next few days with temperatures in the low 20's and the best of the sunshine will be in the south and east of the country.
There will be some light showers in places over the weekend, especially in the north and west, but it will dry up and get hotter next week as high pressure is set to build and the weather will take a glorious turn for the better.
Looking ahead to next week, a Met Eireann forecaster said: "High pressure will likely continue to dominate, bringing generally dry sunny weather and highest temperatures increasing into the mid-twenties."

Weather maps show temperatures hitting 27C in parts of Ireland next week but there is still some uncertainty as to how hot it will get.
Today will be dry with sunny spells and a small chance of a passing shower with highest temperatures of 15 to 19C with the warmest weather in the southeast.
On Friday night, there will be good clear spells over most of the country but will be cloudy in the north and west of the country with patchy light rain or drizzle and temperatures of 6 to 10C.
Saturday morning will bring dry and sunny weather to the south and east but it will be cloudier with patchy light rain or drizzle across much of Connacht and Ulster.
It will become cloudier everywhere during the afternoon with patchy light rain or drizzle but it will become drier again by evening with some hazy sunny spells.
It will be warmest in the southeast of the country with highest temperatures hitting 16 to 21C.
Saturday night will be mostly dry with clear spells, but cloudier with patchy drizzle at times near northwest coasts and lowest temperatures of 9 to 14C.
Sunday will be dry with sunny spells on Sunday morning but it will get cloudier during the day with a few light showers before a return to sunny spells by evening.
Highest temperatures of 17 to 21C are expected with light westerly and variable breezes.
Sunday night will be dry with mostly clear skies and lowest temperatures of 9 to 14C.
Heading into next week, Monday morning will be dry with sunny spells but it will likely become cloudier as the day goes on, with light rain and drizzle possibly affecting the northwest later with highest temperatures of 23C.
Tuesday will bring good sunny spells in the south and east of the country though it will be cloudier in the north and west but generally staying dry. Highest temperatures of 18 to 23C in near calm conditions.
